Not like it’s a surprise to anyone anymore, but Kensei is just too awesome for words.
I think his hairstyle in the flashbacks is kind of tacky, but I’ve always thought he was an impressive character. He reminds me of Ichigo a lot of the time (even if his temper dwarfs that of our orange haired Shinigami), so that’s a big reason too. It was also surprising that he would concern himself so much over woman’s decency, even if she ended up calling him a pervert for it. (If I was Shuuhei, or any other boy for that matter, I know for sure that I’d want to grow up to be just like him.)
On the other hand, I’m finding it difficult to like Mashiro the further and further the series progresses. Ever since she wailed about how she hated Orihime because she was prettier than her, my opinion of her plummeted. I mean, how shallow do you have to be to judge whether you like or dislike someone just because of how they look?
...In other news, Mayuri is as much as a jerk then as he is now. (Then again that's not much of a surprise, is it?) It’d be nice to see Hiyori at least attempt to kick him in the balls.
Oh! Speaking of Hiyori, it was sort of adorable how embarrassed she got over Urahara telling her that he trusts her. It actually seems like she’s starting to like tolerate him, which is great, …but it also makes me very worried. Did he do something to somehow betray the unsteady relationship between them? And, if so, what could it be?
I don't know what the other fans are saying, but it seems less and less likely that Urahara is behind the disappearing souls. Or, if he is, he’s very –very- good at hiding it. I mean, what would be the point of creating a gigai to stop the melting (?) process, if he’s behind the entire thing? What’s the point of looking so shocked after hearing that Kensei’s squad was attacked, if it was his doing? And why would he get so worried about Hiyori’s safety, if he really meant to send her to her death?
I’m sure there’s all kind of theories drifting around, but I still believe Urahara is innocent. Even if he was exiled from Soul Society for some insidious act, I'm hoping against hope that this isn’t it. |

For those of you who know libekory on LJ (and for those of you who don’t, I would definitely recommend taking the time to read her journal. She has some amazing stuff there), she just recently posted a couple of essays on why the Ichigo/Orihime fans aren’t as “delusional” as people tend to think we are.
However, there was one Ichigo/Rukia fan (why she would intentionally barge in on someone’s personal journal who obviously supports a different pairing doesn’t make sense to me, but whatever) said that “her side” has every right to “gloat… about the recent chapter [Chapter 313 and 314]” just because of the lack of Orihime.

I’m even more confused than ever before, but that’s okay! (Honestly, I don’t think it’s a surprise to anyone that I still don’t understand the storyline, even though we’re already this far into the series.)
Besides, I’m way too happy with Ichigo’s “I’ll protect my friends even if it kills me,” and the way he doesn’t want Ulquiorra anywhere near Orihime.

I spent last night and most of this morning trying to find something called “Bleach Chapter 0”. I don’t remember where I read about it, but I got curious and tried looking for it from among the omake chapters, thinking it was some kind of special. However, I have discovered that it’s actually the original pilot chapter Kubo Tite ended up scrapping, but I thought it’d be interesting to read anyway.
Of course, I want to say right now that it was such a hassle to find. I don’t think I want to do that again any time soon.

I was rereading Chapter 189 where Shinji (You know, Hirako Shinji, the guy with the Kansai dialect and weird teeth. He’s the one who tried to convince Ichigo into joining the Dark Side Vaizards…) hugs Orihime, like they’ve been best friends for years. As I look over these pages again, I can’t help but wonder, what is with Ichigo’s reaction?

Okay... So ever since high school (which is when I first heard about it) I told myself to never fall for a series like Bleach, because there are ghosts and evil spirits, which makes my common sense scream, "You cannot handle thoughts of the supernatural because it scares the crap out of you, what in the world are you thinking, idiot self?!"
...But, yeah. I like how I never listen.
